Although it rained overnight, today promises to be sunny. - At least that's how the weather forecasters see it. But once again they are at odds. Now we not only have two different weather apps, but also two different forecasts. - In reality, too, the day is a little cloudy at first - but the sun soon displaces the early morning dew and clouds. We quickly set up chairs and a table on the embankment that slopes down to a stream.
Today I have a healthy breakfast for the first time in days: yogurt, fruit, muesli and various nuts.
Now it's time to explore the park a little. Park is exactly the right word. Hector has positioned himself right next to a hedge, between palm trees, cypresses and chestnut trees. The lawn is littered with chestnut trees. A stream flows through the grounds, lined with ferns, rosemary and hydrangea bushes.
Overnight, there was a lonely camper about 100 m away. As this camper had already left in the early hours of the morning, it got lonely in paradise. - Great!
Stone sculptures are dotted between the palm trees. Some are reminiscent of ancient menhirs or Celtic burial sites. - Others are carved accordingly. - Is this art or can it go? According to Julio Sanjuro, the creator of these works, it is art. I think it's partly successful, partly weird and partly...
The park has more to offer than just art: At the front are three modern concrete cubes, minimal houses, in an apple orchard. The partially glazed roof gives them a bright and clear appearance. - If, like us, you don't drive your own home around, this is certainly a nice alternative.
I decide to use the park to relax. That's why our outdoor chairs are unpacked for the first time on this tour. The tried and tested hammock also finds its palm. - The sheepskins move from the chairs to the couch and finally to the hammock. - A sheep like this is damn universal.
From now on, Le Commissaire Dupin takes center stage again. - The only question I have beforehand is what to have for dinner. Definitely something with rosemary.
Insight of the day: It doesn't always have to be the sea, a day in the park also makes you happy.
