Torgit and Marc relaxing on the beach at Benirras
View of the sea at Benirrás beach, Ibiza

We had a wonderful night's sleep and it was only when I stepped out of the van that we realized the beauty of the property. Right next to us are some palm trees and behind them a small but beautiful pool. The finca, which we only saw from the inside yesterday, is furnished with a lot of love and taste. This impression continues from the outside in daylight. - As you know, we like the Dutch style of furnishing. Outside on the terrace we also find the typical Dutch beach furniture made from old scaffolding planks.

After breakfast, we set off in the direction of Benirrás. The beach, which is close to the Puerto de San Miguel, is almost an insider tip at this time of year. This is because most tourists stay in the south-east of Ibiza. The beach, which is considered one of the most beautiful on Ibiza, is also a meeting point for hippies in summer, who celebrate the sunset here every evening with their drums. We are not in the mood for sunset yet, but want to enjoy the sun properly first. The bay is framed on both sides by high cliffs. In the middle of the bay, a rock called 'Can Bernat' rises out of the water in the shape of a finger. The islanders call it the "Finger of God". - What is particularly beautiful, however, are the fishermen's boat sheds that lean against the rocks. A perfect place to enjoy the sun. - In between, I take a few shots with the drone. It doesn't take long before I'm already in the water. Wonderfully refreshing. - Having a beach like this within walking distance of your own finca is a real luxury. What more could you want?

When we walk back to the finca some time later, we collect wild asparagus on the way. Our lunch consists of asparagus, scrambled eggs and babyale - delicious! We enjoy the afternoon sun on the couch. I start by editing the footage from the morning.

Torgit and I decide to look for a new place to sleep for the night. It's important to know that wild camping is supposedly heavily penalized on Ibiza. But in the low season, this seems to be handled a little more relaxed. We find a nice spot in a washed-out and dried-up riverbed. We can now also reach the beach on foot from our spot. The finca is currently for sale. - But the price takes our breath away. Our van is actually quite nice too. Would we swap if money was no object? - Not today! It's crazy how perspectives have shifted. Just a year ago, we would have blindly opted for the finca.

Later, we walk to the beach again. Now it really is time for sunset. We sit leaning against one of the old boat garages and enjoy the last rays of sunshine on our skin. Happiness is priceless.
