We had already considered whether Lagos deserved a second chance. Today was the day. As we have a lot planned, the alarm clock is set for 7:00 am. - At least we still have time to have a coffee before setting off. But first it's back to the outdoor shower. - With an outside temperature of 10° and a perceived water temperature of 0°, it's extremely refreshing. - You immediately feel fit. - Combined with the view of the peaceful lagoon, you immediately feel happy. Plopp happy.

While we are packing our seven things, Markus from SpaceCamper sends me a screenshot of his cell phone. - He has just retrofitted his van with additional PV and new lithium-ion batteries. He is now pretty self-sufficient. - We, on the other hand, are happy that Hector still starts at all. Because we have completely exhausted the charge level of our battery. But just in case, we have a battery starter pack with us. - At the moment, we have to drive regularly to top up the battery or go to a campsite. - Yes, you read that right, we now see campsites more and more as an alternative maneuver. Tonight I'll have to read up on how it works with solar bags. - Maybe that's an alternative.

We pick up some croissants on the way. - For once, Hector doesn't flirt with another van, but with an old Airstreamer. If we traveled on American highways more often, this would certainly be an alternative to Bulli, Spacecamper & Co. - We find it particularly cool when the aluminum shines in the sun. But always polishing? - To get a taste of the American way of life close to home, Torgit gave us a few days' vacation in an Airstreamer on the island of Texel in April 2017. At Camp Silver Island Hideaway, a Dutch couple converted some Airstreamers into luxurious hotel rooms. Although this pleasure is not cheap, the bottom line is that it is an inexpensive alternative to buying your own. There was something about waking up with a view of the cow meadows. We really enjoyed it. But for Portugal's roads, we clearly prefer a van or space camper.

Today is laundry day again. Torgit makes sure I mention this from time to time. I'm slowly getting used to laundromats. Especially the fact that there seems to be WLAN everywhere here. So we can at least make a few transfers. We hadn't actually planned to add another transfer straight away. But when we get back to Hector's, we have the first problem of our tour. When our attempts fail, we go to the payment office. It's only five euros, for which you can park for just one hour in Cologne. Well done to the Lagos administration.

Before we set off on our street art tour, it's barber time for me. - I'm slowly turning into a barber store tester. Eduardo's barber store turns out to be the best barber on the tour so far. You don't have to say much, Eduardo knows what his customers want. I am also perfectly entertained. Eduardo gives me tips on the local surf beaches and takes me on an excursion through Portugal's wildlife, flora and fauna. - At least he describes them so vividly that you feel as if you are actually there. He recommends that we leave the coast for a change and explore inland Portugal. There are the true treasures of Portugal, wild horses, i.e. herds of Garrano in the Peneda-Gerés National Park. There are also plenty of wolves, lynx and other wild cats. These would be easy to spot thanks to their extremely patterned and fluffy fur. In addition to flamingos, which we have already seen, golden eagles and griffon vultures are not uncommon.

Eduardo also seems to be a little culturally aware. So we philosophize a little about music. - By chance, we come across a duet by Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo, which I'll just link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChcR2gKt5WM

I used to love listening to Bocelli, so it's nice to find him again in this way. - Finché vorrai" - As long as you want.

In between, Torgit comes by to check on things. - As we are hungry, we are given a tip on where to have lunch. - Eduardo takes us to a small Portuguese bar. - A barber with all-round service.

Over the next few hours, we wander through the alleyways and actually find some street art - I'm surprised at how much we've discovered in such a short time. What will we have missed? We'll be back one day, that's for sure.

We spent more time with Lagos and its street art than we expected. - Our first impression of Lagos has improved considerably in the last few hours. - It's a little late to explore a new place for the night. - As we are also a little tired, we spontaneously decide to go back to our lagoon. Once again, we are rewarded with a fantastic sunset.

The 75th day was really nice. Somehow we feel this number is something special. - Unfortunately, we lost something in the parking lot. - For Torgit, the question now is, what do you do with Flipi without Flopi? Because it now seems to be lying in the parking lot in front of the laundromat.

Insight of the day: graffiti brings art to the people. - That certainly doesn't make everyone happy, but it makes us happy.
