We don't want to sacrifice comfort on our trip around the world. We are out of the age. That's why our SpaceCamper is 40cm longer, so we can take many things that make us happy.

Most of the deco comes out on the way. Which deco? Who knows. In Spain with the vultures we found vulture feathers that are stuck in the front of our cockpit today. We picked up an olive branch along the way, and it hangs in our rear window today. And so the deco evolves over the years.

Chairs

The California already has two camping chairs integrated into the tailgate. However, since we were already considering the purchase of a SpaceCamper, we were looking for an alternative. - At first, we thought that the solution with the chairs in the California was great. In the meantime I find the solution with the SpaceCamper better. This has under the tailgate a rear tent for showering and changing. If the chairs were also here, the headroom would be significantly reduced. In addition, the chairs of the California are not exactly the most comfortable. That's why we wanted to test the Helinox. For Marc the Savannah Chair, for elves up to 145kg, and for torgite the SUNSET CHAIR plus Table One Hard Top. We have dispensed with the special Helinox seat pad. When it's cooler we like to have our sheepskins in the back. They are more universally applicable. Helinox is not exactly cheap. But weight, pack size and the quick assembly, have convinced us. Fits with the California still additionally in the tailgate. Are now with us for years in use and still top!

Lying

Instead of garden lounger we now have a Fat Boy Lamzac XXXLThe part is super practical, virtually an air-filled lounge bed with a very small pack size, and of course ultra-light filling takes some getting used to the first time. We have seen in Cologne OpenAirKino the 1st time how the Lamzac is filled. The lady ran in the 2nd row up and down with the part, looked very funny. If the surface is not so suitable, we put our yoga mats under it.

Hammock

Our hammock has already made us happy in our garden in Cologne. We always drank our coffee there in the morning. For the road we have chosen a lighter one with a very small pack size. It is important to us that we can lie together in the hammock. So we have an XXL hammock up to 300kg. We found all this at Unigear at an unbeatable price.

Armchair

When it gets longer in the evening: Our Outwell Lake Huron Armchair. The air is simply inflated or deflated by integrated pump. Require ample space in our packing box, but are super comfortable. Disadvantage: You are always, really always asked about it.

Sheepskins

Our sheepskins - Whether in the van, in the chair, in the armchair, in the hammock or simply thrown on the SUP bag to sit on. They provide pleasant Warmth and protect from wind. And Torgit would say: they are hyggelig.

Cow skins

Something else that has proven very useful on our tour so far: Our cowhides. - We have several cowhides: one each in the front footwell and one in the 'hallway', i.e. in front of the back seat. We see several advantages directly:

The cowhide is very durable
It is so thin that drawers can still be pulled out
You can quickly take it out and knock it out
Take out, knock out, put in, clean and ready
And last but not least, it is cozy warm on the feet

Because of these features, we cut from a large fur, three suitable pieces for the footwell.

Our Sharky

Just as every old beetle needs a flower, every Daimler needs a wiggly dachshund, every surfer's Bulli needs a Havaii miniature dancer, with ukulele. But now we are not surfers, at least not yet. But as a diver, as well as a salesman, I have a special relationship with sharks. - So it was clear, we need a shark for Hector. Sharky found his place. The right shell was found in Brittany. - Aloha!

Fairy lights, lanterns & Co

And what should not be missing in any van? The fairy lights, of course, otherwise it's not a real van life. Unfortunately we have to disappoint you. We don't have a chain of lights on board. Instead, we have a candle lantern and a kerosene lamp from Karlskrona Lampfabrik.

Floor mat

OneTigris shooting mat instead of picnic blanket, or when you have to go under the car in the middle of the mud. Durable nylon, 203cm * 76cm large with water repellent underside.
