I pack my suitcase and take with me...

Although one thinks less of suitcases and more of storage boxes in a van, camper, van & Co, the question remains, what do we take with us? The available space, weight and organization system play a major role on board. On the other hand, it should be irrelevant whether you are traveling with a VW T6.1, T6, T5, T4, T3, T2, T1, California or SpaceCamper. Packing lists help to bring order into the chaos. - Certainly this applies not only to VW, but also to other vans, campers, motorhomes, Bulli & Co.

The fact is that we would never have thought it possible what is supposedly needed. Only with time do you realize how sustainable one or the other tip is on the way. Therefore, we decided to question our original packing list every now and then.

New packing list

Since more and more requests came, I started before Christmas to renew our old packing list. Meanwhile, Easter was and the packing list is still not ready. But it was also felt that something else was always more important. Yes, I know, you don't have time, you take time for the things that are important to you. Before the packing list is never finished, we will publish it successively and keep adding things. So the packing list is just like us and our equipment always in flux.

We are since 2019 full time Vanlifer and have this packing list I do not know how often updated. On the road, you always find that things turn out differently than you thought, and some gadgets just do not keep what they promised. Because not all things are suitable for all vehicles or all destinations. We have replaced some things in the meantime. But not because the things are not good, but because they may not currently fit into our lives. So you can assume that we have put everything through its paces.

We don't want to overwhelm you with facts & figures, so we have often provided a link where you can find more information.

One or the other part may seem very high-priced at 1st glance. We wanted to save first and have therefore bought cheaper. Perhaps we should have known, but in the end it often turned out that the seemingly more expensive was cheaper in the end. And so it became twice as expensive. It is better to buy something of value directly or to treat yourself to it at the next opportunity or to have it given to you as a gift. Than to be annoyed again and again that something is not as you want it to be.

Amazon & Co.

As far as possible, we have added links to the articles in the meantime. - You may think of Amazon what you want. - But not everyone has a Globetrotter, Camp4, McTrek, or Obelink in front of the door. And even if they do, the entire range is not always in stock. - With the Globetrotter online store, we have unfortunately made negative experiences. Everything seemed very chaotic and some delivery times took several weeks or even months. - With Amazon, everything came home quickly. Only on their packaging concept, the gentlemen could still move some. - If there is not the article at Amazon, I tried to enter the link to Bergfreunde, etc.. So everyone can collect his own experience.
