On the one hand, because it's nice and big and always full of delicious things, and on the other, because our magnets are hanging there. When we used to go on vacation, I brought back a magnet from every trip. Over time, a few have come together. Each magnet is a reminder of a very special moment.

Back in Sicily, hidden behind this small chapel, the outline of Sicily was cut out of old tiles and made into a magnet. It's not just any magnet, it's a memory of a very special moment. A moment when I was particularly happy with my best husband in the world. Where I realized once again that money doesn't make you happy. That you can't buy happiness. A shard hanging on our fridge today makes me happy, very happy in fact.
What a vacation, in 2 weeks once around Sicily's coast. Unfortunately we didn't have any more time. How I would have loved to have taken a language vacation there, for 3 months or longer.
Do you remember when we arrived in Palermo in our Fiat 500 and couldn't find the B&B at first? Then I set off on foot and found our really cool B&B in this little street behind this big old barn door. Or the evening at the pistachio farm. The Italian mom, who is actually an architect, cooked. All the guests from all over the world around a big table, the dentists from Canada and the young Italian couple. He didn't speak a word of English, Marc not a word of Italian, but the two of them got on really well. After the meal, the bottles were put on the table, the limoncello and what was that other stuff called again? We had a lot of fun. Those are the nights you remember. Or do you still remember the nights when you slept well? Let's dance the night away ...
