Day No. 13 - Is misfortune waiting for us? - Abbaye Maritime de Beauport

The weather forecast predicted changeable weather. That's why we decided to cover some distance today. - Changeable weather fits the bill, but alternating between sunny and slightly cloudy. We set off at around 9:30 from the Camping des Hautes Grees in Rue Saint-Michel in Erquy, a clean but unspectacular site, past Pléneuf-Val-André with its wonderful sandy beach.

Next we head to Binic via Saint-Brieuc. We can drive the van right up to the quay wall of the harbor. We take advantage of this for our breakfast break. From here, we have a wonderful view over the long sandy beach and an open-air swimming pool. One or two stand-up paddlers take advantage of the gentle sea. We let our legs hang over the quay wall and enjoy our breakfast. At least until the moment when a construction worker thinks he has to feed the seagulls. From then on, the peace is over.

We continue on to Lanloup. The local village church invites you to linger. Its recessed side door and the old slate roof make it worth a pause.

Nevertheless, we continue on to the Abbaye Maritime de Beauport, about 3 km from Paimpol. The abbey was built in 1202 in the small bay of Paimpol, on a hill overlooking the sea and the island of Saint Riom.

From here we leave the coast for the time being and head towards Camping de ROZ AR MOR, just south of Trébeurden. We reach our pitch for the night at around 6 pm. The site is right by the sea, with a breathtaking view of the bay of Lannion.

Located close to the GR34, it offers good access for hiking. Our pitch is the last, or rather the first, in front of the sandy beach. From here, a few steps lead directly into the sand. There's no question as to which we visit first. - Today we enjoy the sound of the waves and a glass of Bordeaux while cooking. - We already emptied the cider yesterday.

Is the Bordeaux already a foretaste of the upcoming tour? Perhaps.

Did day no. 13 bring us bad luck or misfortune? - No, it was a calm and relaxed day.

Insight of the day: Not having any is certainly also a way to calm down.
